Mydatamatcher works with a download of the product data from the ERP, PIM system and/or other available sources. In this way, we create one or more catalogues (the targets) for you to match or cross reference the Request for Quotations (the sources) with. We take care of the set-up and configuration of your matching environment. You will be able to access your organisational portal through a secure web portal. In this portal, your company’s staff can easily upload Request for Quotations and create projects. After creation, projects are matched based on 5 algorithms and the output can be used for the quotation by attaching a price. Pricing or stock information can be integrated and used but is not required to experience significant time savings.
Experience has shown us that it is more interesting to look at the combination of the following factors: the number of products, the number of quotations, the number of sources where the product information can be found, the expertise of the personnel, the possibility to offer alternatives and the time pressure in which quotations have to be delivered. All these factors determine whether Mydatamatcher offers added value in your quotation process.
According to our experience, the time saved when searching and finding identical products or equivalent alternatives can increase to 3 to 5 times quicker. Long-time users who have been using the tooling and where the environment and data model are fine-tuned to their products and terminology often save up to a factor of 60.
Mydatamatcher is developed to be used for different countries, regions or branches. The solution is used by organisations with locations in 20+ countries. Separate catalogues can be setup for a country or branche. During the creation of a quotation project, the user can specify in which catalogue(s) the solution looks for the right products. Users can select multiple catalogues and decide on the order in which they want to search. Mydatamatcher is currently available in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese.
Multiple catalogues can be bundled under one main catalogue. In this case, you are able to search in multiple sources at the same time. This way, these sources are available under 1 catalogue.
Mydatamatcher remembers products which were offered previously so these products can be matched entirely automated. When a unique combination is possible, for example on a product number, other products can also be automatically marked as a match. If it is not sure that a product is the right product users can easily, but manually, confirm if the right product has been suggested or not.
Mydatamatcher can provide a strong business case with a singular source but also with many more. Employees simply have to look at one location to cross reference and look up products instead of several others, in a user friendly environment. It is interesting to discover if in your organisation the sources are easy to consult. How quickly can you find products? And how do the source systems cope in case of incomplete or incorrect data? Mydatamatcher enables users to instantly and easily cross articles. Even when data is incomplete, incorrect, or where for example, punctuation marks have been used in the product numbers that do not belong there.
Mydatamatcher is not a cleansing system for product information. However, it can be used as the first step in the cleaning process to recognise duplicate products in order to remove these. Mydatamatcher is for example used by customers during acquisition processes in which wholesalers and distributors like to discover the overlap in products, and again make sure that there won’t be any duplicates. In addition to making sure products are unique, the cleaning process also includes the process of standardising, classifying, supplementing and enriching. For the purpose of cleansing we can refer you to other software providers or partners.
Through Mydatamatcher easily filtering on product groups can be done. By deciding who matches which product group, product experts can focus on just this product group. Multiple people can work on projects like RfQ’s together, in the same environment. Products which are being handled are updated in real time for other users working on the project.

The Mydatasearch is a more simplified version of the Mydatamatcher where the user is able to match products in the company’s various catalogues to individual products. The matching algorithms and the search technology of the Mydatamatcher are used to quickly find an identical or alternative product at the product level. It is also referred to as the ‘MydataGoogle’ due to its enormous speed and ease of use.
The Mydatamatcher has a more extensive user interface and works with input and output via Excel sheets. In contrast to the Mydatasearch, this makes it possible to match larger numbers of products.
Yes, it is possible to indicate per user which solution of Mydatafactory can be used. A user who only wants to search in the available product data can use the Mydatasearch without Mydatasearch.
When multiple catalogues are available within a Mydatamatcher environment, it is possible to search per catalogue or in multiple catalogues at the same time.
